This docu-series captures an elite sports youth development program, Tenfold Prep, and how they not only adapted to adversity during the dreaded 2020 but also the diverse levels of obstacles, concerns, and experiences the Boston athlete faces in their life. We get deeper insight from the family members of these young athletes in a way that is relatable to so many. Despite many differences, these families make it clear that no matter their children’s dreams, there is no room for negotiation when it comes to prioritizing education and good character. Alongside these stories, we watch Tenfold Prep take a business trip where many lessons are learned such as mentorship, leadership, and accountability. They make sure the athletes are held to the highest standards to prepare them for their futures. Tenfold Prep is on a mission for the win and to continue to be noticed and valued!
In seasons one and two of the show, we made sure to capture stories that many would not get to know unless working directly with our community in Boston. Enjoy!
Chaney directed, produced, and filmed the Boston Docu-series “City On Our Back.” Chaney has his Bachelor’s degree in Communications, with a focus on Video and Radio Production, and a Master’s degree in Management. In his early career, he worked in community development work and supporting underrepresented communities. Doing this type of work allowed him to see the ins and outs of a variety of programs. In the last two years, he focused specifically on youth development. Through this work, he discovered a need for visual representation and started to develop videos for local programs on the side. He felt this was a way to get even closer to people and tell their stories on a deeper level in a way others wouldn’t have the opportunity to see.
In a time when people needed their voices uplifted in 2020, it became clear which direction he would take next. Chaney invested in this passion and connected with more communities that wanted to support the youth. This led him to the Tenfold Prep Docuseries “City On Our Back” project. He adds a creative artistic value in both the shots and angles and through his ability to get to know the program on a personal level. His storytelling pulls you in as if you are a part of their community. Chaney is the Co-Owner of CTD Productions LLC, follow along on Instagram @chaneythadirector.
